The conference fees for HIPPE 2026 are as follows:

How to submit content:
Paper Submission
Abstract Submission
For active participation in the symposium, the submission of a two-page extended abstract in English is required by September 15, 2025. Authors may edit their submission within four days after the submission deadline.
The abstract must be submitted on time via the conference management tool “Indico” in Word format (*.doc or *.docx) according to the provided template. The formatting template “2026_HIPPE_ExtendedAbstract” is available in the download section at the bottom of the page.
Requirements for the Abstract
- Maximum length of two pages (including visualizations and references)
- One meaningful visualization (e.g., figure, table, or diagram)
- At least five relevant references
- Anonymous submission
Full Paper Submission
All accepted contributions must be submitted as full papers by January 25, 2026.
The full paper must be submitted on time via the conference management tool “Indico” in Word format (*.doc or *.docx) according to the provided template.

Requirements for the Full Paper
- Maximum length of ten pages (including title page and references)
- The abstract must not exceed 200 words
- For publication of the contribution, at least one author must be registered for participation in the symposium by February 11, 2026
Note: Registration is only completed after payment of the conference fee has been received. All participants will receive a confirmation email, which should be retained for any potential inquiries.
Poster Submission
As part of a poster session, we would especially like to offer early-career researchers the opportunity to present their initial research results. The platform provides a valuable opportunity to gain first experiences in discussing and disseminating scientific findings. We welcome poster submissions from master’s students and doctoral candidates until January 25, 2026. Please encourage potential candidates within your network to submit their work.
Submission for the poster session is possible until January 25, 2026. The poster template can be found in the download section.
The poster must be submitted via email to “info@hippesymposium.org”.
Registration takes place through the conference management tool “Indico”. Please note that the poster registration form must be selected during the registration process.
Review Process
The review process will be conducted according to a double-blind review procedure. After evaluation of the extended abstract, the authors will be informed about the acceptance of their contribution for the symposium. The full paper must be submitted by the authors no later than January 11, 2026. Accepted publications will be published as Open Access.
Publication Process
The proceedings will be published through the conference series of the Heinz Nixdorf Institute, managed by the Paderborn University Library. The publication will be available as Open Access and will initially be accessible via Google Scholar. In addition, indexing of the symposium contributions in Web of Science and Scopus will be applied for.
