Submission of the abstract
For active participation in the symposium, a two-page, English-language extended abstract must be submitted by August 31, 2025.
The abstract must be submitted on time via the conference management tool “Indico” in Word format (*.doc and *docx) according to the template. The template “2026_HIPPE_ExtendedAbstract” is available in the download area at the bottom of the page.
Requirements for the abstract:
- length of two pages (including visualization and references)
- one Meaningful visualization (e.g. figure, table, diagram)
- at least five relevant literature sources
- anonymized
Submission of the full paper
All accepted contributions must be submitted as a full paper by 11.01.2025.
The full paper must be submitted on time via the conference management tool “Indico” in Word format (*.doc and *docx) according to the template.

Requirements for the full paper
- maximum length of ten pages (including title page and references)
- the abstract must not exceed 800 characters including spaces
- an author must be registered by 11.02.2025 for the publication of the paper
Note: Registration is not complete until payment of the conference fee has been received. All participants will receive a confirmation email, which must be kept for possible queries.
Submission of scientific posters
As part of a poster session, we would like to offer young scientists in particular the opportunity to present their own initial research results. The platform provided will allow them to gain initial experience in how scientific results can be discussed and disseminated. We welcome poster submissions from Master's and PhD students until 11.01.2026. Please support potential candidates from your field with a submission.
Submission for the poster session is possible until January 11, 2026. The template for the posters can be found in the download area.
Registration takes place via the conference management tool “Indico”. Please note that the Poster tab must be selected when registering.
Review and publication process
Review process
The review process is carried out with the help of a double blind review. After the extended abstract has been reviewed, the authors will be informed whether the paper will be accepted for the conference. The full paper must be submitted by the authors by 11.01.2026 inclusive. Accepted publications will be published Open Access. All relevant information on submission and participation can be found on the website.
Publication process
Publication will take place via the conference proceedings of the Heinz Nixdorf Institute, which is managed by the Paderborn University Library. The publication is open access and can be accessed via the Google Scholar database at the beginning. For the symposium, the listing of the contributions via Web of Science and Scopus will be applied for.
